ITT Lowara: the Value of Quality
21/06/2006
The term “Quality” and the evolution of its meaning through history are often the subject of debate: what is Quality?
The answers abound: “absence of defects, doing things right the first time, conformity to requirements …”.
But what is Quality according to ITT Lowara?
It is a value shared by all the people in the organization, so that the company activities are performed by each individual to the best of his/her capabilities: this is the only way to achieve the high level of customer satisfaction that makes ITT Lowara a leader in its sector.
This concept is reflected both outside the organization, through the recognition of the crucial role played by the customer, and inside. There is not just an awareness by the company of the worth of its employees, which leads to the endeavour to make the most of their individual skills, there is also a determination to use all the resources available, both intellectual and manual, to achieve the traditional concept of constant improvement. These forces, applied to the day-to-day functions, ensure that processes are executed according to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
In support of this concept, ITT Lowara has trained a team of operators within the organization who are dedicated to the identification of the most sensitive areas and the development and management of interfunctional projects aimed at bridging the gap between current performance levels and true potential.
It is based on this concept that ITT Lowara revised its processes according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard obtaining, in December of last year, the renewal of the quality certification which was first achieved in 1993.
